Marshalls recently finished construction of very special QM/16SS sold to a customer in the south-east of England by one of dealers Halse of Honiton. The customer required some special adjustment to the standard QM/16, which already has an impressive specifcation that includes a hydraulic up & over door, a sprung drawbar, 10 stud 420x180 commercial axles, mudguards and a strobe beacon. Marshalls and Halse of Honiton worked together to meet the customer's requirements and also fitted 560/45 x 22.5 tyres, air/oil brakes, dual lights, a fully sheeted silage door and rear steering axle. The rear steering axle was requested by the customer to improve the trailers manoeuvrability and reduce scrubbing on the headland when turning. In addition to these extras the trailer was also painted John Deere green with yellow wheel centres to match the customer's tractor. The trailer will be used to harvest mithcanthus, which is then used to fuel bio-fuel plants.
